05/31/20 – Geotchius Wetland Preserve – Caroline, NY
Certainly the most challenging wetland/swamp I have tromped through with my bog boots. The ground alternated between wobbly grass tufts and knee high mud glazed over by clear waters. My trusty walking stick tested the way forward. The eastern edge of Mary’s Woods seen here by the tall trees on the left sits behind Caroline Grove Cemetery where a trail head resides; next time I will begin my adventure there.
Beautiful shot. The tromp was really worth it.
Thanks! Anytime I am able to go on my constitutional in nature is a gift, any fair pictures I may or may not capture is truly secondary.
